Professional Garden Maintenance in Acton

Acton’s gardens tend to run smaller than in some of the surrounding areas; we’ve worked on neat plots behind Victorian terraces, courtyard spaces tucked behind converted houses, and the family gardens close to Acton Park. Similar to how a small room needs vigilance to stay tidy, a smaller garden rewards careful, consistent upkeep rather than occasional attention – which is where we come in.

We’ve been designing, landscaping and maintaining gardens across West London since 1995, and a good number of the gardens we look after today are ones our own team originally planted and shaped. Our design work carries APL and SGD recognition, and our teams are LANTRA trained, and the same standards apply whether we’re building a garden or simply keeping one in order.

We take on single visits for a proper reset, as well as ongoing maintenance schedules for gardens that need regular attention. That covers the lawn, the hedges and borders, seasonal colour, and clearing back growth before it gets ahead of you.

Why Our Acton Clients Choose & Trust Us

Three decades of hands-on maintenance work has shown our teams what actually keeps a garden healthy through the year, rather than just how to make it presentable for a single visit.

Where we can, we lean on sustainable methods rather than anything that might wear down the soil over seasons of use. Our teams are also kept consistent, so the same gardeners return to your garden each time, and get to know how it grows and what it needs.

We can provide every aspect of garden maintenance. Our services include:

  • Lawn Care: Regular mowing, edging, and treatments for a perfect lawn.
  • Hedge Trimming: Precise pruning for clean and healthy hedges.
  • Weeding and Plant Care: Keeping flower beds free of weeds and plants thriving.
  • Seasonal Planting: Refreshing your garden with new blooms every season.
  • Leaf Clearance: Removing autumn leaves to prevent lawn damage.

Seasonal Acton Garden Maintenance

Smaller gardens still feel the seasons just as much as larger ones. Spring calls for planting and an early prune to set growth on the right track. Summer means keeping the lawn watered and cut through the warmer stretches. Autumn is about clearing leaves, and getting the soil ready before winter sets in. Through the colder months we focus on protecting tender plants and keeping structure and shape intact.

We time each visit to what the garden needs, be it heatwave or dearth of rain, so nothing gets left too long.

  • Spring: Fresh planting and pruning to encourage growth.
  • Summer: Lawn care and watering to withstand the heat.
  • Autumn: Leaf clearance and soil care for winter preparation.
  • Winter: Protecting plants from frost and maintaining structure.

I cannot recommend Town and Country Gardens, based in Chiswick, highly enough. My garden had become really overgrown as I haven’t been well for a while and simply hadn’t been able to keep on top of it.
They have done an absolutely fantastic job. They were incredibly thorough and meticulous, arrived exactly when they said they would, and were professional from start to finish. Their attention to detail was exceptional, and they left everything beautifully clean and tidy afterwards.
The difference they’ve made to my garden is amazing. I’m absolutely delighted with the result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish — thank you so much!

Fabulous! Knowledgable, good communication, prompt and helpful. We have absolutely no experience with gardens and we found Andrew very helpful and calming. On the day the guys were really efficient and we couldn’t be happier with the result, and can’t wait to see it all grow 😍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We were thoroughly impressed with the service from Town and Country Garden. Catalin and Ausrine recently carried out their first visit and were exceptional in every way.

They were calm, respectful, and showed real understanding when working around someone living with dementia. Their kind and thoughtful manner stood out immediately, creating a sense of trust and ease from the start. They quickly established a great rapport, and their attention to detail in the garden was outstanding. The space has been completely revitalised—it now feels welcoming, well cared for, and full of life. It’s clear they take real pride in their work.

We’re extremely pleased with the results. A genuinely positive experience, and we hope they’ll continue as our regular gardeners. Highly recommended.
