Construction for this landscaping project took place in 2023 in a garden on Fitzroy Park, a private drive in Highgate. This was a challenging project as the access to the garden was only 90cm wide and the site contains a number of trees with Tree Preservation orders on them, preventing any digging for foundations or any sort.
Designed by Adolfo Harrison, the space has pathways of sandstone setts that wind through a well planted garden, leading you to a lawn or a secluded paved corner of the garden. The house opens on to a Yorkstone terrace that looks over the garden with an outdoor kitchen.
In order to build the pathways, we installed Geosyn Cellweb that enables construction on top of a protective mesh, all of which sits above the existing soil levels and prevents impact to the tree roots below. The garden uses natural materials, aged Yorkstone, cedar timber, and old reclaimed bricks which provide a timeless finish as they weather beautifully to become a seamless part of the garden.
Nominated for the prestigious SGLD awards in 2026, we are very proud to have been involved in the construction and ongoing maintenance of this exceptional space.
