In this garden, designed by Adolfo Harrison, the main garden structure was installed by the builder and we installed the upper paving, steelwork benches, day bed and carried out the soft landscaping. The garden has a large mature tree in it which dominates the space and removes a lot of natural light so clever use of shade tolerant species and the use of plants to soften the hard angular build makes for an inviting space, with the seating and day bed protected by their own roofs. Maintenance of gardens like these are crucial to their success as the debris from the tree and the shade mean that careful tidying and plant care are essential!
