An oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of the city
This garden won a highly prestigious and coveted award in 2019, from the SGD (Society of Garden Designers) – the Judge’s Award – going to the garden designer, Adolfo Harrison. We’ve worked closely with Adolfo for many years, and we’ve collaborated on a lot of exciting and challenging projects over the years.
The specifics of the brief were to provide a garden that provides a peaceful retreat and haven, while being based in the centre of London – much like the cool, hidden courtyard gardens of central Barcelona.
The sonorous trickle from the water feature provides a gentle backdrop of sound, while the plant focus is mainly only cool greens and leafy foliage plants, to provide a crisp architectural look to the whole garden. Hard landscaping features include corten steel detailing and timberwork to provide a solid frame and definition to the garden.
